As the title suggests, this is a sequel but don't be put off by that. The prequel exhibition, 'Sam's Desktop', shown at the Rivington Street Gallery - ADI Projects - this time last year to great acclaim, gave us a taste for artist Dan Proops' digitally manipulated images. Now he returns with 'Sam's Desktop II', using the same pixelated methods to comment on censorship and the importance of the Internet in art today. Cloning and censorship are two concurrent themes he focuses on through this exhibition. And, while he uses digital methods to create his art works, he also acknowledges that these are not new concepts; we've been copying the images of classical Masters for years. A graduate of Goldsmiths, Proops has also shown at Art Brussels and The London Art Fair and goes beyond the shock tactics of YBAs Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin, making him a hot young talent to watch.
